33.  அப்பொழுது யூதர்கள் அலெக்சந்தர் என்பவனை முன்னிற்கத் தள்ளுகையில், கூட்டத்திலே சிலர் அவனை முன்னே இழுத்துவிட்டார்கள். அலெக்சந்தர் கையமர்த்தி, ஜனங்களுக்கு உத்தரவுசொல்ல மனதாயிருந்தான்.

33.  And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people.
