58.  பாபிலோனின் விஸ்தீரணமான மதில்கள் முற்றிலும் தரையாக்கப்பட்டு, அதின் உயரமான வாசல்கள் அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரிக்கப்படும்; அப்படியே ஜனங்கள் பிரயாசப்பட்டது விருதாவாகவும், ஜாதிகள் வருத்தப்பட்டுச் சம்பாதித்தது அக்கினிக்கு இரையுமாகுமென்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

58.  Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labour in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary.
