9.  அபிமெலேக்கு ஈசாக்கை அழைத்து: அவள் உன் மனைவியாயிருக்கிறாளே! பின்னை ஏன் அவளை உன் சகோதரி என்று சொன்னாய் என்றான். அதற்கு ஈசாக்கு: அவள் நிமித்தம் நான் சாகாதபடிக்கு, இப்படிச் சொன்னேன் என்றான்.

9.  And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a surety she is thy wife; and how saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her.
