2.  ராஜா ராஜஸ்திரீயாகிய எஸ்தர் முற்றத்தில் நிற்கிறதைக் கண்டபோது, அவளுக்கு அவன் கண்களில் தயை கிடைத்ததினால், ராஜா தன் கையிலிருக்கிற பொற்செங்கோலை எஸ்தரிடத்திற்கு நீட்டினான்; அப்பொழுது எஸ்தர் கிட்டவந்து செங்கோலின் நுனியைத் தொட்டாள்.

2.  And it was so, when the king saw esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.
