1.  போவாஸ் பட்டணவாசலில் போய், உட்கார்ந்துகொண்டிருந்தான்; அப்பொழுது போவாஸ் சொல்லியிருந்த அந்தச் சுதந்தரவாளி அந்த வழியே வந்தான்; அவனை நோக்கி: ஓய், என்று பேர் சொல்லிக் கூப்பிட்டு, இங்கே வந்து சற்று உட்காரும் என்றான்; அவன் வந்து உட்கார்ந்தான்.

1.  Then went Boaz up to the gate, and sat him down there: and, behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. And he turned aside, and sat down.
