2.  அவன் மோவாபியரையும் முறிய அடித்து, அவர்களைத் தரைமட்டும் பணியப்பண்ணி, அவர்கள்மேல் நூல்போட்டு, இரண்டுபங்கு மனுஷரைக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, ஒரு பங்கை உயிரோடே வைத்தான்; இவ்விதமாய் மோவாபியர் தாவீதைச் சேவித்து, அவனுக்குக் கப்பங்கட்டுகிறவர்களானார்கள்.

2.  And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.
