39.  நான் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்பண்ணப்பட்டவனாயிருந்தபோதிலும் நான் இன்னும் பலவீனன்; செருயாவின் குமாரராகிய இந்த மனுஷர் என் பலத்துக்கு மிஞ்சினவர்களாயிருக்கிறார்கள்; அந்தப் பொல்லாப்பைச் செய்தவனுக்கு கர்த்தர் அவன் பொல்லாப்புக்குத்தக்கதாய்ச் சரிக்கட்டுவாராக என்றான்.

39.  And I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.
