21.  பின்பு அப்னேர் தாவீதை நோக்கி: நான் எழுந்துபோய் இஸ்ரவேலை எல்லாம் உம்மோடே உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணும்படிக்கு, ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவனிடத்தில் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு; வருகிறேன்; அதினாலே உம்முடைய ஆத்துமா அரசாள விரும்புகிற இடமெல்லாம் அரசாளுவீர் என்றான்; அப்படியே தாவீது அப்னேரை அனுப்பிவிட்டான்; அவன் சமாதானத்தோடே போனான்.

21.  And Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel unto my lord the king, that they may make a league with thee, and that thou mayest reign over all that thine heart desireth. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.
