8.  சவுலின் ஸ்தலத்தில் ராஜாவான உன்மேல் கர்த்தர் சவுல் வீட்டாரின் இரத்தப்பழியைத் திரும்பப்பண்ணினார்; கர்த்தர் ராஜ்யபாரத்தை உன் குமாரனாகிய அப்சலோமின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; இப்போதும் இதோ, உன் அக்கிரமத்தில் அகப்பட்டாய்: நீ இரத்தப்பிரியனான மனுஷன் என்றான்.

8.  The LORD hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the LORD hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man.
