5.  ஆகையால் அவனுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவனைச் சீரியருடைய ராஜாவின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவர்கள் அவனை முறிய அடித்து, அவனுக்கு இருக்கிறவர்களிலே பெரிய கூட்டத்தைச் சிறைபிடித்துத் தமஸ்குவுக்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்; அவன் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய ராஜாவின் கையிலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்பட்டான்; இவன் அவனை வெகுவாய் முறிய அடித்தான்.

5.  Wherefore the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.
