2.  அதற்கு அவன்: அப்படி ஒருக்காலும் வராது; நீர் சாவதில்லை, இதோ, எனக்கு அறிவிக்காமல் என் தகப்பன் பெரிய காரியமானாலும் சிறியகாரியமானாலும் ஒன்றும் செய்கிறதில்லை; இந்தக் காரியத்தை என் தகப்பன் எனக்கு மறைப்பானேன்? அப்படி இருக்கமாட்டாது என்றான்.

2.  And he said unto him, God forbid; thou shalt not die: behold, my father will do nothing either great or small, but that he will show it me: and why should my father hide this thing from me? it is not so.
