1.  அந்தப்படி மனைவிகளே, உங்கள்சொந்தப் புருஷர்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருங்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவர்களில் யாராவது திருவசனத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்களாயிருந்தால், பயபக்தியோடுகூடிய உங்கள் கற்புள்ள நடக்கையை அவர்கள் பார்த்து,

1.  Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
