1.  சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய பெனாதாத் தன் சேனையையெல்லாம் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு போய், சமாரியாவை முற்றிக்கைபோட்டு அதின்மேல் யுத்தம்பண்ணினான்; அவனோடேகூட முப்பத்திரண்டு ராஜாக்கள் இருந்ததுமல்லாமல், குதிரைகளும் இரதங்களும் இருந்தது.

1.  And Benhadad the king of Syria gathered all his host together: and there were thirty and two kings with him, and horses, and chariots; and he went up and besieged Samaria, and warred against it.
