10.  அதற்கு அவன்: சேனைகளின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்காக வெகு பக்திவைராக்கியமாயிருந்தேன்; இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் உமது உடன்படிக்கையைத் தள்ளிவிட்டார்கள்; உம்முடைய பலிபீடங்களை இடித்து, உம்முடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைப் பட்டயத்தினால் கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள்; நான் ஒருவன்மாத்திரம் மீதியாயிருக்கிறேன்; என் பிராணனையும் வாங்கத் தேடுகிறார்கள் என்றான்.

10.  And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
