39. மனைவியானவள் தன் புருஷன் உயிரோடிருக்குங்காலமளவும் பிரமாணத்தினால் கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிறாள்; தன் புருஷன் மரித்தபின்பு தனக்கு இஷ்டமானவனாயும் கர்த்தருக்குட்பட்டவனாயுமிருக்கிற எவனையாகிலும் விவாகம்பண்ணிக்கொள்ள விடுதலையாயிருக்கிறாள்.
39. The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
