26.  அங்கே கர்த்தருக்கு ஒரு பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டி, சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளையும் சமாதான பலிகளையும் செலுத்தி, கர்த்தரை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணினான்; அப்பொழுது அவர் வானத்திலிருந்து சர்வாங்க தகனபலிபீடத்தின்மேல் இறங்கின அக்கினியில் அவனுக்கு மறுஉத்தரவு கொடுத்ததுமல்லாமல்,

26.  And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering.
