5.  ஆயியின் மனுஷர் அவர்களில் ஏறக்குறைய முப்பத்தாறுபேரை வெட்டிப்போட்டார்கள்; பட்டணவாசலின் வெளி துவக்கிச் செபாரீம்மட்டும் அவர்களைத் துரத்தி, மலையிறக்கத்திலே அவர்களை வெட்டினார்கள்; ஜனங்களின் இருதயம் கரைந்து தண்ணீராய்ப்போயிற்று.

5.  And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.
