2.  என்னில் கனிகொடாதிருக்கிற ՠφாடி எதுவோ அதை அவர் அறுத்துΪ்போடுகிறார்; கனிகொடுக்கிற கொடி எதுவோ, அது அதிக கனிகளைக் கொடுக்கும்படி, அதைச் சுத்தம்பண்ணுகிறார்.

2.  Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
