17.  நான் உன் மகளிடத்தில் கன்னிமையைக் காணவில்லையென்று ஆவலாதியான விசேஷங்களை அவள்மேல் சாற்றுகிறான்; என் மகளுடைய கன்னிமையின் அடையாளம் இங்கே இருக்கிறது என்று மூப்பரிடத்தில் சொல்வானாக; பின்பு பட்டணத்து மூப்பருக்கு முன்பாக அந்த வஸ்திரத்தை விரிக்கக்கடவர்கள்.

17.  And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
