16.  ஆண்டவரே, உம்முடைய சர்வநீதியின்படியே, உமது கோபமும் உக்கிரமமும் உம்முடைய பரிசுத்த பர்வதமாகிய எருசலேம் என்னும் உம்முடைய நகரத்தை விட்டுத் திரும்பும்படி செய்யும்; எங்கள் பாவங்களினாலும் உங்கள் பிதாக்களின் அக்கிரமங்களினாலும் எருசலேமும் உம்முடைய ஜனமாகிய நாங்களும் எங்கள் சுற்றுப்புறத்தார் யாவருக்கும் நிந்தையானோம்.

16.  O LORD, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.
