23.  ஆனாலும் அவன் விலகிப்போகமாட்டேன் என்றபடியினால், அப்னேர் அவனை ஈட்டியின் பின்புற அலகினால் அவன் வயிற்றிலே குத்தினான்; ஈட்டி முதுகிலே புறப்பட்டது அவன் அங்கேதானே விழுந்து செத்தான்; ஆசகேல் விழுந்துகிடக்கிற இடத்திலே வந்தவர்களெல்லாரும் தரித்து நின்றார்கள்.

23.  Howbeit he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear smote him under the fifth rib, that the spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, that as many as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood still.
