6.  தாவீது மிகவும் நெருக்கப்பட்டான்; சகல ஜனங்களும் தங்கள் குமாரத்திகளினிமித்தம் மனக்கிலேசமானதினால், அவனைக் கல்லெறியவேண்டும் என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்கள்; தாவீது தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குள்ளே தன்னைத் திடப்படுத்திக்கொண்டான்.

6.  And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
