புது திராட்சரசத்தை பழந்துருத்திகளில் வார்த்துவைக்கிறதுமில்லை; வார்த்துவைத்தால், துருத்திகள் கிழிந்துபோம், இரசமும் சிந்திப்போம், துருத்திகளும் கெட்டுப்போம்; புது ரசத்தைப் புது துருத்திகளில் வார்த்துவைப்பார்கள்; அப்பொழுது இரண்டும் பத்திரப்பட்டிருக்கும் என்றார்.
Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
