மலைகளுக்காக அழுது துக்கங்கொண்டாடுவேன்; வனாந்தரத் தாபரங்களுக்காகப் புலம்புவேன்; ஒருவனும் அவைகளைக் கடந்துபோகாதவண்ணமாக அவைகள் பாழாக்கப்பட்டுக் கிடக்கின்றன; ஆடுமாடுகளின் சத்தம் கேட்கப்படுகிறதுமில்லை; ஆகாசத்துப் பறவைகளும் மிருகஜீவன்களும் எல்லாம் ஓடிச் சிதறிப்போயின.
For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.
