அப்பொழுது யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியா லாகீசிலுள்ள அசீரியா ராஜாவுக்கு ஆள் அனுப்பி: நான் குற்றஞ்செய்தேன்; என்னைவிட்டுத் திரும்பிப்போம்; நீர் என்மேல் சுமத்துவதைச் சுமப்பேன் என்று சொன்னான்; அப்படியே அசீரியா ராஜா யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியாவின்மேல் முந்நூறு தாலந்து வெள்ளியையும் முப்பது தாலந்து பொன்னையும் சுமத்தினான்.
And Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria to Lachish, saying, I have offended; return from me: that which thou puttest on me will I bear. And the king of Assyria appointed unto Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.
